Route description: The route wiggles along a quiet walking path along the Kerava river park and ends at the entrance of the science centre Heureka.
The route introduces several important events between the Big Bang and today. Featuring astronomical, geological, and biological milestones, the route is designed to unwrap the vast history of the universe and ourselves to the general public.
The Heureka Time Trek waypoints may be located only using our mobile application. There are no physical plaques or signs along the route.
Guided treks: Guided treks are available, but conditions apply. Enquire if a trek guided by an expert is available at the desired time and date. A thorough guided tour takes 1–2 hours. The mobile application is not needed for the guided tour.
Arrival: The route starts 1.2 km from the Tikkurila railway station at the intersection of Kaislarinne, Kaislatie and Kaislaranta streets (map: Karttapaikka, GoogleMaps), and ends at the entrance to the Heureka science centre (Karttapaikka, GoogleMaps). The area has only a limited number of parking spaces. We recommend arriving by bicycle or on foot, or using public transport (several bus lines come nearby).
